Obituary of Marjorie Louise Macaulay

MACAULAY: Marjorie Louise Macaulay (née Bennett) of Brandon passed away at her residence, Rideau Park Personal Care Home, on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the age of 88 years. Marjorie is survived by her son George (Tina), two grandsons Don (Carolee) and Mike, and three great grandchildren, Amelia, Eli and Cooper. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon, son Allan, four brothers and three sisters. Marjorie worked as a nurse's aide on the maternity floor, looking after the newborn babies, at the Brandon General Hospital. She retired at the age of 60 and continued on at the hospital volunteering as a sitter. Marjorie loved to knit and crochet and she enjoyed her membership with the Royal Purple. A Celebration of Marjorie's Life will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with The Very Rev. Robin Walker officiating. Interment will take place at the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Marjorie may be made to a charity of one's choice.
