Obituary of Mary Jean Kuykendall

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 29, at West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene for Mary Jean Kuykendall of Eugene, who died April 22 of complications from a stroke. She was 89.She was born Nov. 4, 1921, in Pilot Rock to Harry and Faye Hinkle Newman. She married Doyle Mullikin on Jan. 1, 1941, in Camas, Wash. He died in 1945. She married Richard Kuykendall on June 4, 1946, in Stevenson, Wash. He died Aug. 11, 2010.She graduated from Dundee High School. She worked in retail sales in McMinnville, at the Bon Marche in Eugene, in millinery sales and worked as a secretary for the Veterans Administration for 14 years.Survivors include five daughters, Dianne Mullikin, Katee Storm and Lori Williams, all of Eugene, Lynda Cline of Springfield and Janice Yechout of Corvallis; a sister, Sharon McAdams of Albany; a brother, Gary Renne of Malin; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.Inurnment will be at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene.Remembrances may be sent to Eugene Hearing and Speech Center.
