Obituary of Margaret (Jean) Clark

Margaret (Jean) Clark passed away on Monday, October 3, 2011 at her home at Hillcrest Place. Jean was born in Springwater, SK on April 14, 1920. Jean came to Brandon as a young girl. She was the only child of Charles and Jessie Meldrum. She married Charles Clark in 1940 and they had three children. She spent her life in Brandon except for three years in Germany when Charlie was posted overseas. Jean was a good homemaker and took pride in her garden. She loved dogs and always had at least one. Jean was a devoted wife and mother and had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great grandsons. Jean is survived by her daughter Karen (Sam) Martin of Brandon, son Bob (Linda) Clark of Bellvue, AB and son-in-law Norm Popien of Brandon. Grandchildren Clark Martin (Shauna), Tanis (Doug) McRae, Stacie Popien, Brad (Sally) Clark and Brent Clark. Great grandchildren, Travis Smyth, Dillon Martin, and Aiden McRae. Jean was predeceased by her husband Charles in 1998 and by her daughter Gail Popien in 1986. In keeping with Jean's wishes, cremation has taken place and she was interred alongside her husband at the Brandon Cemetery, Veterans' section.
