Obituary of Betty Kirtley

Betty KirtleyA memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. May 6 at Grace Lutheran Church in Eugene for Betty E. Kirtley of Eugene, who died April 23 of age-related causes. She was 88.She was born Aug. 2, 1922, in Richland to John and Lela Saunders Perry. She married Orris “Kirt” Kirtley on Dec. 6, 1960, in Nevada. He died May 14, 2004.She held a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from the University of Oregon. She worked as a legal secretary in accounting firms in San Francisco, Tucson, Ariz., and on military bases.Survivors include a son, Phillip of Eugene; and a daughter, Michele Sanfilippo of Orange, Calif. A son, Michael Kirtly, died Oct. 17, 2007.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.Remembrances may be sent to the Eugene Mission.
