Obituary of Paul W. Gardner

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at the Eugene Evangelical Church for Paul William Gardner of Eugene, who died April 30 of complications from heart surgery. He was 89.He was born April 24, 1922, in Eugene to Claude and Hazel Brattain Gardner.He graduated from Eugene High School in 1941. He served in the Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. He worked in the trucking industry, both in logging and long haul trucking.Survivors include two brothers, Jack of Eugene and Ed of Redmond; and two sisters, Sharon Sahonchik of Bend and Claudette Hamilton of Eugene.Burial will follow the service at West Lawn Memorial Park.
