Obituary of Stefanie Dawn Elke David Bakeman Williams

It is with great sadness that we share the loss of our wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend. Stefanie was predeceased by her Papa; Don Elke and they are now in heaven together. Stefanie is survived by her husband Jeffrey, her daughters Lily and Mary, her father and mother; Michael and Shannon, her brother Ashten and sister Emilee, her "MaMa"Lu, brother Ryan and father-in-law; Marty. Also survived by grandparents; June Elke (her Baba and old lady friend) Darlene Bakeman, Larry Bakeman, Lewie and Luella Czech, Alva Williams, Gary and Joan Williams and also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and family members. Stefanie was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba where she loved hard, laughed often and lived life to its fullest challenge! She moved to Brandon to complete her schooling and found the love of her life Jeffrey and a home that she adored. She has raised two beautiful, polite, and sensitive little girls in Lily and Mary, and we will see Stefanie carry on through them. She was surrounded by the most allegiant, caring, dynamic group of friends who were her circle of love and support. Stefanie endured two years of a courageous battle with cancer never knowing what would happen next; there was always another plan! She was the strongest woman we knew and our hero, never complaining and always making sure everyone was ok. Our hearts are broken, our pain is raw, but we are grateful that we had time with her and now she celebrates in heaven. A service of remembrance to honor Stefanie's life will be held at Central United Church, 327-8th Street, Brandon, Manitoba on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 1 p.m. with Funeral Celebrant Jamie Berry officiating. Placement of urn will follow at the Brandon Cemetery Columbarium.
