Obituary of Beverley Merle Crosson
On July 8, 2011 our Mom and Grandmother peacefully passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Her life began on May 26, 1935 at the farm of her parents, Bill and Mae Jones in McAuley. She continued to live there until the age of 12, when the family moved to Courtney, BC. During a summer visit back to the Prairies in 1950 she met her future husband, Fred Crosson. They married on October 24, 1951 and began farming in the Hillsgreen District near McAuley. Their union resulted in three daughters, five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Upon retirement from the family farm in 1983, they moved to McAuley. Over the next 20 years she enjoyed crafts, gardening, visiting with her children and enjoying life. After the death of Fred in 2003, she moved to Brandon to be closer to her daughters and lived the remainder of her life. Bev's unconditional love and kind spirit will be forever missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Bill and Mae Jones, and her husband Fred Crosson. Left to mourn and remember her spirit fondly, daughters; Elaine (Bryan) Stonehouse, Sherrie (Dennis) Gabrielle, Juli (Ed Terleski) Crosson; grandchildren Ryan (April) Stonehouse, Kerry (Trevor) Veitch, Trevor (Megan Gerring) Gabrielle, Kent Gabrielle, Lindsay (Deke) Baley; 11 great grandchildren and brother Rick (Sue) Jones.
