Obituary of George Dey

George DeyCRESWELL — The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene for George Louis Dey of Creswell, former long-time resident of Lorane, who died May 8 of age-related causes. He was 90.He was born July 17, 1920, in Dayton to Louis and Lora Small Dey. He married Maxine Guggisberg on Dec. 25, 1943, in Coos Bay.He attended Oregon State University for three years. He served in the Army for three years. He was a rancher and worked as a millworker at Weyerhaeuser for many years. He retired in 1982.Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Diane Richey of Eugene; a son, Greg of Creswell; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A grandson, Kevin Richey, died previously.Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene. Remembrances to the Diabetes Association
