Obituary of Karl Louis Demanski
DEMANSKI: Karl (January 24, 1921 – June 15, 2010). It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Karl Demanski at the age of 89 years. His death occurred on June 15, 2010 at the Assiniboine Centre with his family by his side. Karl was born to Henry and Minnie on January 24, 1921 in Pipestone, MB. Karl will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife of 60 years, Dorothy, son Ed, daughters Verna, Gail (Bob) and Carol (Gary), grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also sisters Bernice, Jessie (Ed), Nell and Lorraine (Howard). Karl was predeceased by his mother and father, brothers Stan, John and Walter. Karl worked the majority of his working years for the City of Brandon in the Water Works Department. He enjoyed his work and all the men he worked with. Karl was a good person. A kind loving man. He made a great impression on all who knew him. Special thanks to Dr. Carpenter and also Dr. Egan. Thank you to everyone in Palliative Care. Your kindness and support was truly appreciated. As per Karl's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service was held on Monday, June 21, 2010. Rev. John Dolloff of St. Mary's Anglican Church officiated. Donations in memory of Karl may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, "Palliative Care Unit," 150 McTavish Ave. East, Brandon, MB, R7A 2B3.
