Marian MannersMarian Manners of Eugene died May 4 of pneumonia. She was 97. Private family services are planned.She was born Jan. 30, 1914, in Minneapolis to John and Emily Olson Johnson. She married Vaughn Manners on Nov. 4, 1937, in Huxley, Iowa. He died in 1986.She held an associate’s degree and worked as a primary school teacher and a homemaker.Survivors include three daughters, Marilyn Chaplin of Brentwood, Calif., Janet Ashcraft of Eugene and Kathleen Anderson of Boise; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A son, David Manners, died previously.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
