Obituary of Rex Larson

Rex LarsonWALTERVILLE — A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Eugene for Rex Larson of Walterville, who died May 11 of complications from esophageal cancer. He was 62.Military honors and a reception will follow the Mass at the church.He was born May 12, 1948, in Seattle to Gilbert and Marjorie Bennett Larson. He married Fran Ziolkowski on May 24, 1969, in Springfield.He graduated from North Bend High School. He served as a meteorologist for four years in Hawaii with the Marine Corps. He was a glazier until his retirement in 2010.Survivors include his wife; a son, Nicholas of Salem; three daughters, Andrea Butler of Eugene, Brenda Davis of Veneta and Christine Terpack of Independence; two sisters, Voni Reddekopp of Pacific City and Lyn Harbaugh of Salem; and five grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary.
