Obituary of Larry Carpenter

The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 19, at Lane Memorial Gardens for Larry Carpenter of Eugene, who died May 12 of cancer. He was 86.He was born March 29, 1925, in Tulsa, Okla., to Edgar and Gladys Loy Carpenter.He graduated from high school in Lebanon and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a carpenter and contractor in the central coast area of California.Survivors include his partner of 14 years, Jeanne Billings of Eugene; and a son, Scott Carpenter of Santa Maria, Calif.Arrangements by Lane Memorial Funeral Home in Eugene.
