Our sincere condolences to the entire family from the Whittingham's. Dorothy was a great lady. She spent many hours with me when I had my horse at their place and in fact helped me to find and buy her. Both her and Les were very helpful and I will never forget their kindness. When I married she was right there helping and supporting both Wayne and I which we will never forget. Once I had children she was there again supporting us and helping Chad with homework and was very instrumental with coaching him through his schooling.
She was a very giving individual and wise when it came to giving advice. I enjoyed my time with her on the farm and socializing at all the horse functions, shows and dances. She will be missed.

Auntie Dorothy and Uncle Les ( as did other Aunts and Uncles) took my brother Ross and I in, I believe it was the summer of 1968 when our Mother was sick and dying of cancer. I don't remember much of that time though know that we were put into swimming lessons at the East End pool. I was unable to make it to the service today but did watch it on live stream, it was a lovely service.

I was a grade 4 student of Mrs. White's in 1975 at the old King George Elementary School in the east end of Brandon. My older siblings were also taught by her as were Hugh Morgan's. My good friend Hugh and I were classmates but unfortunately he wasn't there for picture day. My condolences to a wonderful teacher's family.
It would be so nice to hear from other classmates!!

Thinking of the whole family at this time. Dorothy always loved to sit and chat at horse shows , dances or whatever. She was so proud of her family. I always loved her smile and she was always such a calming person . Treasure all your special memories !

Bruce here . Les Linda Barry and Darryl I have thought of Dorthy a lot since I heard of your loss. I remember a companionate lady with a wonderful sense of humour. Many times I was a guest at Bloomin Acres when I needed a place to lay my head when I was in Brandon . I can remember Les driving Chapdales Patrol Sargent and Fashion Kings Boy after the evening chores were done. When Les asked Dorthy Linda and me "How do the look" the answer would be we did not know because it was already dark.

Please accept our family's condolences on your loss. Mrs. White was a wonderful teacher to my siblings and me at King George School in the late 60s and early 70s. We each have many fond memories of her, and appreciated her kind and caring nature. I hope that you will take comfort in knowing how fortunate so many others feel for having known her.

Sympathies to all of the family on the loss of Mrs. White. I spent many days on the farm on Baker Road with my horse Copper, and was helped immensely by both Mr. and Mrs. White. They were very kind to a kid who had lost her father, and I have always thought of them with fondness and thanks. I was even forgiven for the day that I accidentally let all of the hackney ponies loose and they went running down the road. Mrs. White will be missed by all who knew her.
