Obituary of Walter Krumdieck

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at Grace Lutheran Church for Walter Krumdieck of Springfield, who died May 2 of age-related causes. He was 90.He was born Nov. 28, 1920, in San Juan, Texas, to Louts and Claire Bonness Krumdieck. He married May Ellen Combs on July 28, 1945, in Champaign, Ill. She died Dec. 20, 2010.Her served in the military from 1942 to 1946 and was a millworker.Survivors include two sons, Ralph Krumdieck of Eugene and Gary Krumdieck of Billings, Mont.; a daughter, Janice Kaufman of Eugene; three brothers, Elmer of Pleasant Hill, Oscar of Eugene and Ken of Stayton; a sister, Dorothy Sullivan of Springfield; and nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Lane Memorial Funeral Home in Eugene.
