Obituary of Ron Ashton

ASHTON: Ronald Ashton of Brandon, MB, passed away with his children by his side on Friday, March 27, 2020 at the age of 71 years. Ron spent his early years trucking with a family business before receiving his Power Engineering Diploma from Assiniboine Community College. Working for over 20 years at a local plant as a second class power engineer, Ron retired at the age of 60. His life was spent raising a family, camping, travelling and tinkering with gadgets. There was nothing he couldn't fix. He is survived by his siblings and their spouses, Barb (Dave), Ivan (Heather) and Bev (Mark); his daughters, Shelley (Grant) Chase, Laurie (Stacey) Ashton, Angela (Kevin) Braun and their families, including seven grandchildren. Ron will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A service will be held for Ron in the summer with friends and family welcome. Details will follow at a later date.
