Our deepest condolences to the Tetzlaff family. That was the most dignified and touching funeral. It was done with such reverence and respect and we know there were many tears shed across the country. It truly highlighted Wally's love and God and his family. He was a wonderful man and we know that you will always miss him deeply. Sincerely, Frank and Linda Seitz

As I read these comments I too cherish the memories of Uncle Walter. He had a great sense of humor! Was he serious or joking!! A competitive spirit (don't try to cheat in cards) and a very caring loving soul. During hurricane Dorian out here in Nova Scotia last year, he would text me several times to see if we were doing ok and to stay safe. I loved him like all of you do and do miss him. So thankful for the memories. Big hugs to you Kim, Ted and your families.

I'm not sure when I first met Wally, whether it was at BMH or on the curling ice, but when ever it was, it lead to a super friendship with both Wally and Bev.
I curled with Walter for several years both in Men's and mixed. I moved to BC, got married, raised our family, but any time Meeri and I returned to Brandon. Walter, Bev would welcome our children and grandchildren and treated us as if we had never left.
Meeri and I feel so fortunate to have counted Bev and Walter as our special friends.
Wally and I spent a week together at the Brier in Regina, we never missed a shot and shared many stories. It was the last time I saw Wally.
We've talked with Kim a few times since and again want to pass along our condolences and thoughts.
Kim, you had wonderful parents and we're proud to have had them as special friends.

I am not sure words can say what a wonderful brother Walter was . In our younger years we raised quit a bit of hell which did not sit well with Mom and Dad. Lots of times we got home early in the morning, the cows had been milked and mom and dad would be having breakfast we thought maybe we would get some rest but oh no! stones had to be picked and it seems those stones where always left till Saturday. When ever we curled against each other there were no shots left untouched and when we curled together we where almost untouchable. Rest in Peace Brother Walter and glad you have no more pain. We shall meet again some day God Bless

Wally was a great friend and curling companion. He will be missed. We still remember when Wally came to stay with us at our lake house shortly after the passing of his wife Bev. He really enjoyed staying with us, so much so that asked if he could move in with us permanently.
Rest in peace. Deepest condolences to the family.

I worked with Wally from 1985-89. A gentle man with a caring heart and logical mind, always fair and balanced. Years later just at Christmas time when visiting my Mom at Riverheights Terrace, had a wonderful catch up. He reminisced about his travels, his family and his fight for his health. My Mom, Pheme, did want to express her sympathies as well. She felt that Wally was valued and respected by all his friends and neighbours at Riverheights. He will be missed.

Condolences to the Walter's family during this difficult time. I had the pleasure to curl with Wally who had a love for the sport like no other. As important as the game of curling was to Wally the comradery of his opponents and others on the ice meant so much to him. A curling game in Wally's eyes was not complete without an after game coffee or beer to shoot the breeze. Wally was a true gentleman in the way he conducted his life and valued the friendship of everyone. Rest in Peace Wally.
