Obituary of Betty Halbrook

Betty HalbrookSPRINGFIELD — A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 28, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Eugene for Betty Holbrook of Springfield, who died May 21 of age-related causes. She was 84.She was born Jan. 19, 1927, in Ponca City, Okla., to Frank and Eleanor Koob McGuigan. She married Alan Holbrook on June 23, 1947, in Oklahoma. He died Dec. 11, 2002.She held an associate degree in nursing and worked as a registered nurse.Survivors include four daughters, Alana Groeper of Chiloquin, Vicki Halbrook of Eugene, Vinci Halbrook-Paterson of Portland and Janice Hester of Alamo, Calif.; a son, Josh of Eugene; two brothers, Bill McGuigan of Eugene and Bob McGuigan of Arkansas City, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A son, Scott Halbrook, died in 1982.Inurnment will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Eugene. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to St. Paul Catholic Church or Sacred Heart Hospice.
