Robert FreemanCOTTAGE GROVE — Robert Harlan Freeman of Cottage Grove died May 18 of age-related causes. He was 89. A memorial service is planned for a later date.He was born Oct. 14, 1921, in Mora, Minn., to Leroy and Ella Iverson Freeman. He married Mary Hagen on Jan. 31, 1945, in Albert Lee, Minn. She died in 1995.He served in the Army during World War II and in the Korean War as a cook. He worked as a foreman for Weyerhaeuser.Survivors include two daughters, Karen Freeman-Easterling and Sherry Kidder, both of Cottage Grove; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
