Obituary of Ronald Ruiz

Ronald RuizRonald Ruiz of Eugene died May 21 of complications after heart surgery. He was 73. No service is planned.He was born Jan. 27, 1938, in Chicago to Liborio and Marjorie Lessard Ruiz.He attended the University of Minnesota at Duluth and graduated from Lane Community College with a degree in computer technology. He served in the Air Force as a air traffic controller and worked as an air traffic controller and in computer tech.Survivors include his wife, Marita Ruiz; two daughters, Lisa Ruiz of Eugene and Lorri Weddle of Butte, Mont.; three stepsons, Jerry Shonk of Junction City, Monty Shonk of Las Vegas and Douglas Shonk of Ventura, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Karen Crowley of Hillsboro; a sister, Patricia Dulong of Eugene; and 12 grandchildren. Two sons, Ronald Anthony Ruiz and Michael Joseph Ruiz, died previously.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to Meals on Wheels.
