Obituary of John Plautz

JUNCTION CITY — John W. Plautz of Junction City died June 19 of cancer. He was 53. A memorial service is planned for later.He was born Sept. 22, 1957, in Springfield to Wilbert and Lois Gramzow Plautz. He married Kelly Mendenhall on May 15, 1982, in Eugene.He attended Page Elementary School and Springfield Junior High School. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1975 and earned a bachelor of science from the Oregon Institute of Technology in 1979. He worked as a design engineer with White’s Electronics.Survivors include his wife and two sisters, Charlene Gordaoff of Lacey, Wash., and Janine Russell of Springfield.Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City.
