Obituary of Louella Federico

Louella Frances Federico of Springfield died June 19 of age-related causes. She was 88. No service is planned.She was born July 2, 1922, in Alameda, Calif., to Rutherford and Helen Messer Hayes. She married Dominic Federico in 1947 in San Jose, Calif. He died Nov. 1, 1969.She attended college for two years. She worked as a central supply technician for Kaiser Hospital in San Jose from 1975 to 1990 and as a master food preserver for the Lane County Extension Service from 1996 to 2011.Survivors include a son, Vincent LaVigna of San Jose; five daughters, Maria LaVigna, Donna Federico, Roseanne Federico and Helen Federico, all of Springfield, and Constance Federico of Madera, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.Arrangements by Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
