Obituary of Clayton Horn

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, at Springfield Memorial Gardens for Clayton Horn of Springfield, who died July 1 of age-related causes at age 77. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Springfield Memorial Gardens.He was born June 8, 1924, in Catoosa, Okla., to Chalk and Jessie Cagle Horn. He married Hilda Marie Timmons on June 29, 1948, in Lowell. She died Oct. 25, 2008.He was a millworker, pulling green chain for various mills for more than 40 years, retiring in 1975.Survivors include a son, Arnold of Roseburg; two daughters, Carolyn Erwin and Marilyn Andre, both of La Pine; two brothers, Richard Nordahl and Elden Norhdahl, both of Florence; a sister, Betty Williamson of Dexter; and seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A granddaughter, Kimberly Andre, and a grandson, John LaBonte, died previously.
