Obituary of Florence Schwier

Florence SchwierFlorence Schwier of Eugene died July 6 of age-related causes. She was 89. No service is planned.She was born Nov. 15, 1921, in Chicago to Henry and Edna Krumsieg Harms. She married Ronald Schwier on Aug. 14, 1948, in Peoria, Ill. He died in 1999.She graduated from Manual High School in Peoria in 1939 and from Dickinson’s Business College in 1940. She was a homemaker. She had worked for Kraft Foods and for Los Angeles General Hospital in California until the birth of her first child.Survivors include a son, Robert of Santa Clara, Calif.; two daughters, Janet Schwier of Eugene and Yvonne Schwier of Hacienda Heights, Calif.; two sisters, Elaine Ireland of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Marian Cannedy of Westminster, Calif.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A son, Wayne, died in 1984.Inurnment will be in Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, Calif. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to FOOD for Lane County.
