Obituary of Sidney Jones

Sidney JonesCOTTAGE GROVE —The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Lane Memorial Funeral Home in Eugene for Sidney Jean Jones of Cottage Grove, who died Aug. 1 of age-related causes. She was 78.She was born Oct. 15, 1932, in Boise to William and Helen Jester Marlatt. She married DeVon Jones on April 3, 1959, in Boise. He died in November 2000.She served in the U.S Air Force. She worked as a cook at the Sacred Heart Medical Center for 21 years.Survivors include four daughters, Denise Carvey of Atwater, Calif., Kathleen Bronson of Eugene, Dianna Irving of Alvadore, Deborah Stumph of Cottage Grove; a sister, Bobbi Bermeosolo of Riggins, Idaho; two brothers, Bill Marlatt of Nampa, Idaho, and Ryan Marlatt of Boise; and 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.Burial with military honors will follow the funeral at the Lane Memorial Gardens.
