Obituary of June Norton

June NortonThe funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today, Aug. 5, at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene for June Maxine Norton of Eugene, who died Aug. 1 of a stroke. She was 79. Visitation was held Aug. 4 at the mortuary. A reception will follow the funeral.She was born June 4, 1932, in Summit to Oliver and Alta Edwards Oheman. She married Darold Norton on May 7, 1949, in Corvallis. He died on Dec. 22, 2007.She attended school in Philomath and Corvallis. She worked as a testing technician for Pacific Northwest Bell for 23 years.Survivors include two sons, Melvin of Eugene and Larry of Lenoir City, Tenn.; a sister, Roxie Mason of Corvallis; a brother, Anthony Oheman of Federal Way, Wash.; and one granddaughter.Private entombment will be at West Lawn Memorial Park.Remembrances to the Oregon Health & Science University in Portland for prostate cancer research.
