Obituary of Martha Monroe

Martha MonroeA memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15, at the Riviera Baptist Church in Eugene for Martha Louise Monroe of Eugene, who died July 28 of age-related causes. She was 86.She was born Jan. 27, 1925, in Los Angeles to Elisabeth Ottosson Stanson. She married Charles Monroe on Dec. 8, 1950, in Los Angeles. He died June 17, 1999.She graduated from Lincoln Heights High School in Los Angeles. She worked at a paint factory during World War II, was a homemaker and worked seasonally at the Agripac cannery for 22 years.Survivors include three sons, Robert of Springfield, James of Cottage Grove and Brian of Eugene; two daughters, Susan Brenda of Springfield an Cheesman d Kim Killian of Madera, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A daughter, Lisa Monroe, died previously.Inurnment at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary.
