Kenneth JonesThe funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene for Kenneth W. Jones of Eugene, who died Aug. 20 of congestive heart failure. He was 85.He was born April 7, 1926, in Leavenworth, Kan., to William and Vera Glenn Jones.He attended some college and served in the Navy during World War II on the USS California. He worked as a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy for 27 years.Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Alice Dove Jones; a daughter, Nancy Brown of Eugene; a son, Gary of Newport Beach, Calif.; a sister, Marie Gillespie of Topeka, Kan.; and five grandchildren.Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
