Obituary of Pauline Benson

Pauline BensonThe funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene for Pauline Evelin Benson of Eugene, who died Aug. 19 of age-related causes. She was 82. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.She was born Aug. 28, 1928, in Vernon, Texas, to Loss and Faber Wilbanks Glazier. She married Roland Benson in 1951 in Texas. He died May 7, 2003.She graduated from Wichita Falls Senior High School in Wichita Falls, Texas. She worked as a telephone operator.Survivors include a son, Glenn of Eugene; two daughters, Pamela Hoyt of Everett, Wash., and Greta Lovejoy of Springfield; a brother, Billy Don Glazier of Duncanville, Texas; three sisters, Joanne Holley of Wichita Falls, Geraldine Friloux of Baton Rouge, La., and Lynda Bowen of Springtown, Texas; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.Burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
