Obituary of June Goddard

June Roberta Goddard of Springfield died Aug. 21 of age-related causes. She was 92. No service is planned.She was born June 11, 1919, in Wessington Springs, S.D., to Leroy and Carrie Belle Marshall Staples.Survivors include five daughters, Joanne Cortez of Junction City, Barbara Hicks and Harriet Maberry, both of Springfield, Kathleen Evert of Bear Lake, B.C., and Diana Gaetz of Versailles, Ky.; a son, Robert Gaetz of Lexington, Ky.; a sister, Wanda Staples of Winston; two brothers, Marshall Staples of New Hope, Minn., and Donald Staples of McMinnville; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.Her husband, Harold Goddard, died previously.Arrangements by Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
