Obituary of Andrew Kennedy

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, at Springfield Memorial Funeral Home for Andrew Lee Kennedy, 83, of Springfield, who died Aug. 24 of age-related causes at age 83. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home.He was born March 13, 1928, in Broken Bow, Okla., to Emmett and Elsie May Quinn. He married Vador Ruth Beggs on May 6, 1950, in DeQueen, Ark.He graduated from Wright City High School in Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a millworker.Survivors include a son, Cody of Springfield; a daughter, Amber Booth of Springfield; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A daughter, Elaine Harris, died previously.
