Jerry NormandyJerry Normandy of Eugene died Aug. 12 of causes related to cancer. He was 72. A private service is planned.He was born Aug. 1, 1939, in Middletown, Conn., to Armand and Anna Kielb Normandy.He attended the National Business Institute and held degrees in mechanical engineering and drafting. He worked as a mechanical engineer in heavy equipment, and in drafting and design for Mattel and Waamco toy companies.Survivors include a son, Jerry of Palm Desert, Calif.; a daughter, Stephanie Normandy of Palm Desert; and a brother, Armond of Massachusetts.Arrangements by England’s Eugene Memorial Chapel.
