Obituary of Ora Nora Jelden

HARRISBURG — Ora Nora Jelden of Harrisburg died Aug. 29 of age-related causes. She was 94. A private memorial service is planned at the family’s ranch.She was born Feb. 9, 1917, in Hartley, Iowa, to John and Annie Gillert Schumann. She married Grover Jelden on Feb. 7, 1942, in Omaha, Neb. He died Dec. 17, 2007.She graduated from high school in Hartley and took college preparatory classes. She worked as co-owner and operator of a cattle ranch outside of Harrisburg.Survivors include a daughter, Valerie Weaver of Lebanon; a son, Monty of Harrisburg; and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City.
