Henry GawlowskiThe funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Eugene for Henry “Hank” Gawlowski of Eugene, who died Sept. 9 of age-related causes. He was 89.Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene and from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church.He was born Jan. 8, 1922, in Milwaukee, Wis., to William and Stella Ostrowski Gawlowski. He married Frances Petrosky on July 11, 1942, in Napoleon, Ohio. She died March 1, 2008.He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the LST 389 during World War II. He founded Adrian Construction Company in California in the early 1960s. After moving to Oregon in the 1970s, he built several homes in the area.Survivors include three sons, Bill of Bend, Mickey of Salinas, Calif., and Greg of Santa Fe, N.M.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.Inurnment will be at Rest-Haven Memorial Park in Eugene. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Disabled American Veterans or St. Vincent de Paul.
