Obituary of Iva Kommer

Private graveside services were held at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene for Iva Louise “Lou” Kommer of Eugene, who died Sept. 6 of age-related causes. She was 82.She was born June 21, 1929, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Oda and Gladys Nance Hesterlee. She married Sharkey Commer on May 2, 1948, in Buxton. He died Feb. 20, 2009.She was a homemaker.Survivors include three daughters, Penny Jones and Melody Pearson, both of Eugene, and Kathy Utter of Springfield; a son, Dan of Twentynine Palms, Calif.; two sisters, Oneta Allen of Vancouver, Wash., and Diana Sheets of Coon Rapids, Minn.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene.
