Obituary of Margaret Shelton

Margaret SheltonA memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Dayspring Fellowship in Springfield for Margaret E. “Marge” Shelton of Eugene, who died Sept. 12 of respiratory failure. She was 88.She was born June 7, 1923, in Walla Walla, Wash., to Glenn and Berneice Dillon Guntle. She married James Shelton on Nov. 28, 1980, in Eugene. He died March 30, 1995.She graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1941. She served in the Marine Corps during World War II. She worked as an executive secretary in the office of the director, University of Oregon Health Clinic, until her retirement.Survivors include three daughters, Janet Thibault of Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles, MaryAnn Gerig of Central Point and Tricia Thibault of Eugene; two sons, Mike Thibault of Naples, Fla., and Tom Thibault of Eugene; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.Inurnment will be at 10 a.m. June 7, 2012, in Waitsburg, Wash. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.Remembrances to Special Olympics in Eugene.
