Obituary of Doris Jones

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at Lane Memorial Gardens for Doris Jean Jones of Eugene, who died Sept. 4 of cancer. She was 77.She was born Nov. 27, 1933, in Lincoln, Neb., to Orlie and Bessie Allen Burch. She married Carl Jones on July 4, 1948, in Eugene.She attended school through the eighth grade. She was a homemaker.Survivors include two daughters, Judy Byrd and Joanne Herrera, both of Eugene; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
