Jagrajan Brar

Obituary of Jagrajan Brar

Jag Brar was born in Mississauga, Ontario to parents Rupinder and Rob. He was the highly anticipated first grandchild of Tirath Kaur and the late Sucha Singh Sandhu and Rajinder Kaur and the late Balbir Singh Brar. In time, he became the eldest of 15 grandchildren in the Sandhu family. His many cousins have always looked up to him. He was thrilled to become an older brother to Sraia in 2006, and cherished his role as her protector, big brother and friend. Jag’s young life was unexpectedly and tragically cut short by a motor vehicle collision caused by an impaired driver. Jag was in his final year at Lorne Park Secondary School. Jag was an intelligent, hard working, and ambitious young man. His aspirations were the greatest. He was always listening to podcasts from motivational speakers. He gave 1000% at everything he tried. He had a fascination for cars, had an extensive taste in music and enjoyed everything from hip hop, rap to country. He also loved creating music, and was known as DJ1TWO. He was enthusiastic about playing recreational volleyball, school football and boxing. He was passionate about writing and intended to pursue a future in it. He loved spending time with his girlfriend and friends. Jag gave hugs that were so tight, bone crushing and wrapped around your soul- as if he wanted to make sure you felt all the love he had for you. His smile was infectious and his laugh could fill up the whole room (just like his hair). We will never forget his love for his family members, especially his cousins, his extremely close bond with his sister, strong admiration for his mom and maternal grandmother (Nani), love and respect for his father and deep affection for his girlfriend. He always looked up to his uncles (mama jis) and aunts (mami jis) for guidance.”Jag is survived by his mother, Rup, his father Rob and his sister Sraia. He was the light of his late maternal grandfather’s life, Sucha Singh Sandhu - and we find some peace in knowing that they are now together forever. He will be deeply missed by his girlfriend, aunts, uncles, many cousins and friends. He is not the length of his life, but rather the depth of the impact he made in our hearts. We will forever miss you with our whole beings. Until we meet again, may you rest in peace, sweet boy.
