Obituary of James Glaspey

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene for James H. “Jim” Glaspey Sr. of Dexter, who died Sept. 18 of age-related causes. He was 90. Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene.He was born Jan. 11, 1921, in Dexter to Albert and Minnie Howard Glaspey.He married Olive Ross in June 1946 in Louisiana. She died Dec. 12, 1976.He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a heavy equipment operator.Survivors include two sons, James Jr. of Oakridge and Ron of Dexter; a daughter, Donna Hayes of Dexter; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.Remembrances to Greenhill Humane Society
