Obituary of Christophe Clement Altenor

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our much loved father, grandfather & greatgrandfather, Christophe “Clement” Altenor, best known as “daddy” to his children and grandchildren.Chris was born in Grande Riviere, St.Lucia on November 4,1932 and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Malton Village Long Term Care where he resided for the last three years of his life.He leaves behind his beloved wife of 53 years, Maria “Maryceline”. His children Marie-Anne, Antonio “Tony”, Janet, Marylene, Jessica and two stepdaughters Lorna and Philomen.His dearest grandchildren Samuel, Shaina, Mohnay, Andre, Shanysse, Shannon, Adrienne, Aaron, Shane, Ashley and great grandchildren Aaliyah, Cali, Phoenix, Caleigh, and Camila and his goddaughter Tanysha.He will be joining his deceased parents, sisters Iona, Selena, Myra & brother Baptiste “daddy”. He leaves behind his lone sister Marie “Ceti” and his nieces and nephews Simon “Sosone”, Sandra, Jean, Junior, Bertram, Babsie, Brent, Janine, Dionysia “Shirley”, Widmark, Brenda-Lee, Eyan, Jennifer, Marcel and Keith.He also predeceases his cousin, Berthie Alfred also referred to as his twin.There are many more nieces, nephews and cousins that reside in St. Lucia, England, and the United States, too numerous to mention, but who remain in our thoughts and prayers.We would also like to take the time to extend a big heartfelt THANK YOU to the entire staff of Malton Village, especially those on the Redstone Butterfly Household, for the amazing care they provided to our father throughout the years he lived there, and more specifically in his final hours.
