Obituary of Dale Whittington
Dale Frances Whittington - passed away October 2nd, joining his partner of twenty-five years, Miriam who left us earlier this year. Dale is survived by his Sister Claire Whittington and his Step-Son Michael Tramov. In life Dale was a passionate woodworker, feeder of strays, squirrels who he called "little ones" and befriender of raccoons, all of whom he named "Jenny". An accountant by trade for most of his life, he embraced his love of carpentry in his retirement and ran his workshop with an open door policy to any and all who wished work or learn alongside him. Dale was also an avid member of Variety Village and looked forward to his every visit. He will be fondly remembered and cherished by those who lives he touched and his memory will live on in what he crafted. A service is to be held at McDougall & Brown Scarborough Chapel, 2900 Kingston Rd. Scarborough. In lieu of flowers donations in his name can be made to Variety Village or the Toronto Humane Society.
