Vincenzo will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Maria and his children, Ornella (John), Orlando (Angela), Maurizio and Jim (Sofia). He will greatly be missed by his grandchildren Alessandra, Matthew (Mara), Cara (Mike), Paul (Justine), Isabelle, Jesse, Tomas, Nicolas, and his great grandchildren Audrey and Zoey. He is also survived by Family in Italy. At 21, Vincenzo married his childhood sweetheart Maria on February 22, 1958. Shortly thereafter, wishing to start a better life for his wife and future family, Vincenzo’s strong independence carried him from his childhood home in Italy to build a prosperous life in Canada. Vincenzo established roots in Oakville, Ontario; Maria and their infant daughter joined him 13 months later. Vincenzo was also instrumental in sponsoring his in-laws and their family, enabling them to immigrate to Canada in 1965. He went on to make Oakville his home for the next 61 years. Friends and family could always rely on Vincenzo to lend a hand, whatever the need. Annual events such as the making of wine, sausages, tomato sauce and hunting, were only an excuse to share some quality time with family and friends. Vincenzo made friends easily and always greeted everyone with a big smile. He was extremely fond of expresso coffee and made sure that you ended drinking at least one cup at some point during your encounters. Vincenzo made numerous acquaintances over the years. Those who knew him, knew that family was most important. His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy. He shall be missed by all.Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be a private visitation and service for extended family only.
