Obituary of Stephen Downes

It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Downes on Friday, October 2, 2020 at the Credit Valley Hospital. Pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Jacqueline in October 2015. Loving father of Mandy (Phil) and Melissa (Derek). Cherished grandfather of Olivia, Isabelle, Jack (Mandy), Audrey and Rayden (Melissa). Steve was a lover of sci-fi and war history. He enjoyed doing crosswords daily and watching the Blue Jays. Steve is fondly remembered for his presence out front of his house quietly enjoying a cigarette and a Rye & Coke. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Credit Valley Hospital in Steve’s memory. A private service will be held for immediate family on October 15, 2020. This date coincides with the 5th anniversary of the passing of his beloved wife Jackie.
