Obituary of Carol Anne Hughes

Carol Anne Hughes (Osler) passed away peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital with family by her side on Friday, October 2, 2020 in her 83rd year. Predeceased (2009) by her beloved husband John Hughes of 50 years. She will be deeply missed by her children, Kenn (Denise) and Heather (Anthony). Cherished grandmother of Luke and Lauren†. Close companion of the late Al McMaster and dearly remembered by France.Carol was the eldest of nine and was the matriarch of her family circle. Her love was felt across generations of nephews, nieces and cousins. She would lovingly remember everyone’s birthday, anniversary, or relation to each other. She loved all and was loved by all. Carol was known for her warm smile, kindness and generosity. From an early age, she easily made friends with everyone she met and maintained these friendships for years to come.Carol loved to travel with her soul mate John, or with her family and friends. She also had a deep passion for music and singing. In the 1970’s she was a member of the Barbershop Chorus of Montreal. Her passion for music followed her everywhere she went.Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held at Eden United Church in Mississauga.
