Obituary of Agnes Betty Cowan

COWAN, AGNES BETTY (nee DOIDGE) July 26, 1927 – September 29, 2020. It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of “Betty” Cowan at the age of 93. Betty passed away peacefully at Langstaff Square Nursing Home in Richmond Hill, Ontario. She was the eldest daughter of Hilda (Freame) & William Doidge and beloved wife of 51 years to Leslie Cowan (deceased 1999). Betty will be greatly missed for her gentle, kind nature and generous care for others. Devoted mother to son Bruce (daughter-in-law Joy) and daughter Betty-Ann (son-in-law Richard). Cherished grandmother to Tanya (Ron), Diana (Marcus), Lisa (Paul) and Kira (Jeff). Beloved great-grandmother to Hayley, Leah and Jason. Betty was an avid bowler in years past and devoted Blue Jays fan. We would like to thank the staff at Langstaff Square Nursing Home in Richmond Hill for their care and support over the years especially Larisa, Ewa, Romanita and Maritess. Visitation and a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Rd., Scarborough. However, due to the current Covid pandemic, visitation and service times are limited in numbers and are to be coordinated by contacting either Bruce or Betty-Ann.Online condolences may be left for the family by clicking the GUESTBOOK tab above.
