Obituary of Calla Cooper

Calla CooperA memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene for Calla Carol Cooper of Eugene, who died Sept. 21 of age-related causes. She was 91.Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, at the funeral home.She was born Sept. 22, 1919, in Dufur to Omar and Maggie Gander Armstrong. She married Carl Hegstrom on June 1, 1941, in Florence; he died in 1957.She married Vernie Cooper on Dec. 12, 1959; he died in 2007.She was a homemaker.Survivors include four daughters, Donna Cooper and Carlene Rolfe, both of Creswell, Lynnez Current of Keizer and Denise Rolfe of Leaburg; two stepdaughters, Remona Miller of Lebanon and Connie Rice of Eugene; three stepsons, Albert Cooper of Springfield, Joseph Cooper of Creswell and Robert Cooper of Eugene; a sister, Evelyn Fredrick of Everett, Wash.; and 25 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
