Obituary of Ellamae Smyth

JUNCTION CITY — A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Sept. 24, at Rest Lawn Memorial Park in Junction City for Ellamae Leona Smyth of Junction City, who died Sept. 17 of complications from cancer. She was 87.She was born July 11, 1924, in Horton to Chester and Mary Jay Syphers. She married Ernest Smyth on Nov. 4, 1942, in Eugene. He died June 29, 2006.She graduated from Coos River High School. She was co-owner and operator of a family ranch and a homemaker.Survivors include five daughters, Charlotte Ritthaler, Margie Hammack and Sandy Terrien, all of Junction City, Sharon Rondeau of Portland and Lori Skarda of Corvallis; a son, Donald of Junction City; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City.
