Obituary of Maria Teresa Lopresti

Maria Teresa Lopresti,Passed away peacefully in her home on September 20, 2020. She will join her beloved husband Vincenzo, her beloved daughter Esterina, her beloved grandson Vince, her beloved daughter in law Rosa and her beloved son in laws, Rocco Lettieri and Rocco Logozzo. She is survived by her daughter Giuseppina, Maria and her husband Gino, Marianna and her husband Benedetto, Judy and her husband Tony, and by her son Rocco, Antonio and wife Teresa, Guido and his wife Eve. Cherished Nonna to 20 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. Maria Teresa lived her life by following very simple rules and much common sense. Everything that unfolded throughout her precious 99 years was possible because of God’s will. She always said that no one could go against his will. She was our Queen, an exceptional women, in every aspect, with great determination and passion. In her last year she had one final goal in mind, to reach her 99th birthday on August 26, 2020. She had a very close call on August 3, 2020, but made it. After that she would be asking the family how many more days to her birthday every single day, sometimes 2 times a day. She also wanted to know if it would be on a Sunday and if the weather was going to be nice because her special day was on a Wednesday. Little did we know that she would pass away on a sunny day this Sunday morning. Mom you will be immensely missed by all of us, you were our Rock. Your many great grandchildren will miss you greatly, they simply adored you and they were your pride and joy and just their presence, touch, brought a smile on your face and tears in your eyes because you could no longer see them. They all loved to touch you, hug you. Mom rest in peace. Thank you for all your blessings and great examples you have given us. We are who we are today because of you. We are proud to be your children. The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to Judy our youngest sister and her husband Tony for all they done for mom. We are all aware and blessed to have you both giving mom the best care possible, in her time of need and always without any hesitation putting mom first.As directed by the Province of Ontario and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, the attendance at the funeral and cemetery is restricted to 30% capacity or less and a record of attendance must be maintained.Wearing of masks, or face coverings, by everyone is mandatory during their time in the funeral home or cemetery.
