Obituary of John Stewart

A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, at the EAA building at the Creswell Airport for John Stewart of Creswell, who died Sept. 26 at age 67. The family chose not to list the cause of death.He was born Feb. 6, 1944, in Knox City, Texas, to Alvin and Ethel Huddleston Stewart. He married Patricia Beshears on Feb. 28, 1975, in Springfield. She died July 15, 1998. He married Lynda Larson on May 18, 2002, in Creswell.He graduated from high school in Munday, Texas. He served in the Marine Corps in Vietnam. He drove tankers for Chevron Oil Company for many years and retired in 1999.Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Laurie Hodson of Lacey, Wash., and Sonja Ordonez of Salem; two stepdaughters, Jodi Williams of Tucson, Ariz., and Traci Bell of Springfield; two brothers, Donnie of Florida and David of California; a sister, Judy Stewart of Ohio; and 10 grandchildren.Arrangements by Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
