Obituary of Charles Phillips

Passed away suddenly, at his home in Brantford, Ontario in August 2020. Charles Daniel "Slingshot" Phillips died in his 71st year. Known to his family as Danny and to his friends as Slingshot, he is survived by his sister Lorraine French, Dolly Peddle, Sharon Moore and brothers John and Barry Phillips. Slingshot also leaves behind 11 nephews and 17 nieces to mourn his loss. Slingshot is predeceased by his parents, Victor and Anne (McEachern) Phillips, sisters Evelyn Ferguson, Myrna Collins, Joan Phillips and brothers Harold, Roy, and George Phillips. Slingshot will also be fondly remembered by his friends at the Rod & Gun club in Burford, Ontario. Slingshot, who didn't like to be called by his birth name, but preferred the name given to him by his biker friends, worked over 40 years at Massey Ferguson as a painter. Cremation has occurred. A celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Interment will take place in Barrie Union Cemetery. Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
