Obituary of Margaret Ashby

Margaret AshbyMargaret G. Ashby of Eugene died Oct. 4 of age-related causes. A private family service is planned for next spring.She was born Dec. 1, 1914, in Eagle Cliff, Wash., to Otto and Hilda Hendricksen Grinde. She married Robert Ashby Jr. on Jan. 24, 1937, in Portland. He died previously.She was co-owner and bookkeeper at Mishler’s in Eugene.Survivors include two daughters, Judy Bergan of Boring and Susan Ashby of Eugene; a son, Lee of Mesa, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A son, Gregory Ashby, died previously.Private burial will be at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Eugene. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.Remembrances to Sacred Heart Hospice or the Greenhill Humane Society.
